The EES (English for Education Systems) team at the British Council offers the opportunity to participate in international seminars on English Language Teaching to participants from the Government sector. In February 2013, the Teacher Competency Framework symposium in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) was attended by two delegates, a professor and a lecturer, from the English Departments of Taungoo and Monywa Universities (managed by the Ministry of Education).

In April 2013, the IATEFL (International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language) Conference in Liverpool (United Kingdom) was attended by senior academicians from the English Departments of Yangon and Mandalay Universities. All these delegates were sponsored by the British Council and we hope to continue the support in the future.
