Coming to study in the UK will be one of the most exciting adventures of your life, so be prepared!

Arriving in a different country can be a disorienting experience at first.  Do not be surprised if, after the excitement of arriving, you later find the UK strange or you miss home.  You won’t be alone – others will be feeling the same way.  Don’t worry.  These feelings will quickly pass and you will soon get caught up in the heady bustle of student life.

Before arriving in the UK, there are steps you can take to lessen any initial feelings of shock you might have.  Do your homework before you arrive; the more you know about the UK and the city or region you will be living in, the better prepared you will be.

Checking In
You are required to check in at least two hours prior to departure on international flights. So make sure you allow yourself plenty of time.
Saying Goodbye!
Make at least three copies of relevant details. Keep one in your hand luggage, pack one in your suitcase and leave one back home with your parents, or other responsible person/s.
