Posy Simmonds in Belgian Comic Strip Center

'A graphic novel is like a film. There are close-ups and long-shots. You choose the location and the props. You do the make-up and the lighting and you get the characters to act.'  Posy Simmonds

With the support of the British Council, the Belgian Comic Strip Centre is hosting the first exhibition of Posy Simmonds’ work of original art and unseen sketches which spans her entire career of over 50 years.

This exhibition confirms that Posy Simmonds, now widely translated and acclaimed, is no longer a secret but a national treasure who delights her audiences on an international scale.
