Science and Society

Science affects all the areas of our lives, from what we eat to what we wear; from our work to our leisure – it’s everywhere. A country needs to develop a sound science policy, a strong network of researchers to make it happen and well-informed communicators to help lay people to understand its importance and to be able to make their own decisions. We have been fostering long-lasting partnerships between the UK and Brazil in these areas.
