Welcome to the British Council Brazil English Language Teaching news page. Our ELT community website is live! Teachers of English from all over Brazil are getting involved and using the community to find support, exchange ideas and make friends. Check www.britishcouncil.org.br/elt to read news stories and features about English teaching activity in Brazil and about teacher association events in different regions. If you are not yet a member of the community, sign up for our newsletter and we’ll send you regular updates. If you would like to publish a story, promote an event or send us a report about a recent event in your area or, please write to Roberta Guimarães, ELT Community Officer - elt.community@britishcouncil.org.br The community also has teaching resources and tips to help you to plan your classes. If you would like to share some teaching materials with other community members, get in touch and we’ll publish it on the site. You can share ideas and experiences with other teachers of English, take part in a survey or chat about any topics in the community forum. This is a great place to talk about developments in ELT and meet other community members. The British Council’s purpose in ELT in Brazil is to support the development of teachers of English. Therefore we want to work together to strengthen the teaching of English all over the country. If you are an English language teacher or assistant, you can use a range of teaching materials, including online resources. We can also connect you with other teaching professionals across the globe to share experiences. If you are interested in the development of English language teaching in Brazil, check out latest projects in the area. Julian Wing
