This objective of this project were to develop and train teachers through extension courses and it was the result of a partnership with the Government of Pernambuco through the Secretariat for Education and Culture and Federal and Rural Universities of Pernambuco.

The Graciliano Ramos benefited 720 teachers from 60 State schools within Pernambuco and reached beyond 72.000 students. Amongst all these teachers, 62 improved their English attending classes at the British Council Recife. The classes focused on methodology and the use of internet as a tool to learn and teach English.
