Applicants must be Brazilian, work full time and live in Brazil, have a higher degree and at least two years' experience in their professional area. They must also have demonstrated potential to move to leadership positions, wish to establish links with the United Kingdom and speak English fluently (minimum IELTS requirement; 6.5 overall band). Applications are welcome from several sectors: private, public, trade unions, non-government organisations and others.
Scholarships are usually awarded for a formal full-time study programme lasting between three and twelve months, excluding internship or research. Courses must be directly related to the applicant’s present and future career.
