The 12th edition of Panorama RioArte de Dança confirms the tradition of transforming the city of Rio de Janeiro in a reference for the contemporary dance locally, nationally and internationally.

Not only the performances, the festival develops an important role of formation through the projects like “Novíssimos” (Fresh New), “Novíssimos Curadores” (New Curators), “Novíssimos Críticos” (New Critics) and the “Residencies”.

During 3 weeks the Festival happens at Teatro Carlos Gomes, Espaço Cultural Sérgio Porto, Teatro Maison de France, SESC Rio de Janeiro/Espaço SESC and building facades at Praça Tiradentes.

RESIDENCIES
From 19 October on Panorama maintains the discussions on dance and its range of contemporary possibilities, organising an artistic residency with Robert Pacitti, British live artist and Cristophe Wavelet from France.

This project is a result of the continuity of the partnerships with British Council and French General Consulate. Two different artists, two type of participants (including non-dancers), two different forms of works.

Robert Pacitti will work with 10/15 pre-selected Brazilian performers during 3 weeks. Finale will premiere with his Company and the Brazilians from 6 to 9 November at Espaço SESC.
