Opening: August 7, 2003 - 19.00h Duration: Until August 31, 2003 Visiting hours: Tuesday to Sunday, from 9.00 to 21.00 A major exhibition of photographs by Fay Godwin, one of Britain’s most respected and influential photographers, opened to the public in Brasilia, Brazil on Tuesday 07 August. Entitled Landmarks: A Survey, the exhibition is a celebration of Fay Godwin’s important contribution to British photography over the last thirty years. Alongside the strikingly beautiful black and white landscapes for which Fay is probably best known, the exhibition also features her portraits of writers and poets, documentary images of Bradford and her more recent colour work. There are more than 250 images in the exhibition. Landmarks has been organised and toured by the British Council in Brazil and the Barbican Centre, London. |
