A Perspective of Brazil's Image in the World
Seminar

Last 04th May, the British Council Recife organised a lecture on the theme “A perspective of Brazil’s image in the world” by Cristiano Andrade. The event was a complete success, counting on more than 50 people attending it, including people from the ALUMNI community and target audience.

In recent studies during his master degree in the UK, Cristiano Andrade has researched the reasons of how national symbols and stereotypes of a country such as Brazil can influence British consumer’s perceptions and opinions over Brazilian products. In the presentation, the above topic was explored under a country branding perspective by assessing the meaning of “Brazil” as a commercial brand.

Cristiano has a very high profile and reputation in Recife especially among the technology/marketing community and is also an UK enthusiastic which made the event even more interesting for all of us. Besides the presentations itself, Cristiano made a passionate speech about the UK and also about his years living and studying in London in which he had the opportunity to establish professional contacts that made a significant impact in his career.
