30 MARCH – ECONOMICS PERSPECTIVES FOR 2006
Lecture by Francisco Gros, Ex-President of the Brazilian Central Bank

During this lecture, Mr Gros will share his wide experience in the investment sector conquered on more than 30 years of a remarkable career.

Francisco Gros graduated from Princeton, USA, in 1964 and his career as a bank investor started in 1972. He came back to Brazil in 1975, when he was made Director at Multiplic, a stockbroker, where he worked until 1977. He was also Director at CVM – Real State Value Commission, Unibanco, BNDES (National Bank For Development) and at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. After that he worked as President of Aracruz Papers, Petrobrás (Brazilian State company for Petroleum) and of the Brazilian Central Bank, where he held this latter post on two occasions.

Currently, he is Director President and member of the Administration Council of Fosfertil and Ultrafertil, President of the Administration Council of Renner Stores and member of the following Consultation Councils: Air Liquide do Brasil, Scania Ltda, Banco Financia, Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce (New York), The Americas Society and The Nature Conservancy.

The event will take place in the auditorium of the Brazilian British Centre, at Rua Ferreira de Araújo, 741, ground floor at 7pm followed by a happy hour at Drake’s Pub, where participants will have the opportunity to talk to the speakers and network with other participants.
