Brasília is the headquarters of the British Council in Brazil and the Country Director is located here. It has national responsibilities for relations with Federal Government; international organisations; the diplomatic community and European Cultural organisations as well as the overall policy, strategic direction and management of the British Council operation in Brazil.
In addition the Brasilia office, under the direction of the Deputy Director, is responsible for the the management of British Council operations in the Federal District the Centre West and North States of Brazil; the national co-ordination of the British Government Chevening Scholarship Programme and national leadership of the Council's Education and Learning Strategy for Brazil.
