EducationUK-L is an e-mail list that is used to keep UK education providers informed about the following topics:

			Education UK Partnership activities and opportunities;
			Prime Minister's Initiative for International Education (PMI2) activities;
			general education marketing opportunities.

Information is sent out on the same day as it is received and delivered via e-mail in the form of a daily digest containing all the messages received for posting that day. The content is quality controlled and edited to ensure that it is relevant to subscribers. The service also provides a searchable archive of all postings to the list, so subscribers can refer back to messages if necessary.

How do I subscribe?
Subscription to the list is open to all UK education providers and stakeholders, free-of-charge, at the discretion of Education UK Marketing.

Archives and web interface
The EducationUK-L web interface allows you to browse and search the list archives for past postings and also to change your subscription settings. To use the web interface, you will need to set up a password

How do I temporarily suspend my subscription?
If you would like to temporarily suspend the receipt of postings (e.g. whilst on extended leave), send an e-mail from the address with which you are subscribed to listserv@list1.britishcouncil.org containing only the following text on a single line (i.e. do not include any signature text):

SET EducationUK-L NOMAIL

To resume receiving postings, send an e-mail, as above, containing:

SET EducationUK-L MAIL

How do I receive postings as individual e-mail, rather than a daily digest?
To prevent subscribers from being inundated with numerous postings throughout the day, all subscribers are, by default, set to receive no more than one e-mail in any 24-hour period. This e-mail contains a digest of all the previous days' postings, and is distributed after midnight GMT. If you would like to change this setting so that you receive postings as soon as they are sent to the list, send an e-mail from the e-mail address with which you are subscribed to listserv@list1.britishcouncil.org containing only the following text on a single line (i.e. do not include any signature text):

SET EducationUK-L NODIGEST

To receive a daily digest e-mail, send an e-mail, as above, containing:

SET EducationUK-L DIGEST
