Photography competition and workshop for young photographers in BiH
"Photostory of the Future BiH"

The Goethe-Institut and the British Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina kindly invite you to take part in a photography competition programme and share your ideas about what “Photostory of the Future BiH” means to you. You will have a chance to share your photos, receive feedback by a jury of professionals from UK, Germany and BiH, participate in a creative photography workshop, develop photo essays, participate in an exhibition and compete for cash prizes.

How will the programme work:

All interested and eligible photographers are invited to apply
15 photographers will be selected by Paul Lowe (UK), Andy Spyra (Germany) and jury members from BiH by 29 January, 2012
  • The photo essays will be curated and photographers will be invited to a cost free creative photography workshop held 23-26 March 2012 in Sarajevo, led by Paul Lowe (UK) and Andy Spyra (Germany)
  • Photo essays will be published in online and printed catalogues and at a printed exhibition
Three most successful workshop participants will be awarded with prizes
  • First prize:
    • 1.500 KM
  • Second prize:
    • 800 KM
  • Third prize:
    • 500 KM

Who can participate?

Citizens as well as residents of BiH between 18 and 35 years of age with a portfolio of 12 photographs. If selected, applicants must be available to attend the workshop. Workshop will be held in English, thus applicants should have a good command of the English language.
