CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
A prestigious award to fund your UK postgraduate studies

CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIP IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

The British Government’s British Chevening Scholarships are the most prestigious awards available to international students for study in the United Kingdom. There are over 2,200 new Chevening scholarships globally each year.

These scholarships, which are named after Chevening House in Kent, the official country residence of the Foreign Secretary, are available in more than 150 countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Chevening scholarships offer an ideal opportunity for young professionals not only to study their chosen subject, but also to meet and network with their peers in the unique learning atmosphere that the UK provides.  The ultimate objective is to benefit their countries upon their return.

The British Foreign and Commonwealth Office each year offers a number of scholarships for one year full time postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. So far, more than 80 young Bosnians have received their diplomas from acclaimed UK institutions.

All courses of study are conducted in English.

The programme is managed by the British Council, on behalf of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).

The Scholarships are intended for people who have the capacity to be leaders in their field.

The type offered in Bosnia and Herzegovina covers all the costs of the course of study in the UK, including international travel to and from the UK, academic fees and living costs.

There is no age limit, but you must be a resident in Bosnia and Herzegovina when you apply.

They are intended for study at a United Kingdom university in:

law
economics
international relations
EU integration
media studies

NB high academic achievers in other subjects will also be considered, along with good candidates for newer universities offering non-traditional subjects.
