A Council of Europe waystage level B1, it tests language ability at lower-intermediate level (after approximately 375 hours of study) and is about two-thirds of the way to the highly respected FCE.
Exam papers contents and dates:
Reading and Writing: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Listening: approximately 35 minutes
Speaking: 10 to 12 minutes by pair of candidates
The speaking and writing tests may be on different dates. You will receive a schedule with your speaking appointment approximately 3 weeks before the examination.
Location: British Council Paris or in an exam room nearby.
