BULATS, which stands for Business Language Testing Service, is a quick and reliable tool for assessing language skills in real business situations. It is developed by the University of Cambridge ESOL in collaboration with three other international leading language bodies: the Alliance Française, the Goethe-Institut and the Universidad de Salamanca.
Designed for companies, organisations and students, BULATS provides a cost effective way of assessing communication skills in a foreign language that are needed in the workplace.
BULATS can test 4 languages: English of course, but also French, Spanish or German.
There are 3 types of audiences:

The results are based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The overall results are given as a global score on a scale of 0 – 100 which corresponds to a level between A1 and C2 from the CEFR system.
If the test has taken place under Cambridge exams conditions, a Test Report Form can be printed by the supervisor onto official BULATS paper. It features the candidate’s name, the name of the company/organisation if required, the test date and the results. On the reverse of this report is a summary of the 'Can Do' statements.
Below is a table showing the levels with the corresponding scores:
