The courses take place over 3 to 5 days and bring together teachers from across Europe to discuss a wide variety of themes from Human Rights to Drama and Civic Education as well as the use of ICT in schools. For details of seminars taking place in the UK consult the Council of Europe website.

Teacher exchanges through the British Council network

The Teachers' International Professional Development programme (TIPD) is run by the British Council in London and offers UK teachers a variety of short-term visits overseas enabling them to experience good teaching practice around the world. If you are interested in hosting a group of teachers from the UK we would be delighted to hear from your DARIC. Study visits of this kind are an ideal way to start off longer term regional education partnerships which we actively support through our work with our French partners in the international offices nationally and regionally. Contact your nearest DARIC office to see how you can get involved.
