We offer two different kinds of Legal English training:
Our pre-advanced level Legal English courses are split into three modules (B2.4 to B2.6) and there is an emphasis on verbal and written communication. Courses cover all areas of legal English and are suitable for lawyers, judges, undergraduate law students and legal administrators. Students can expect to improve their English level to C1 after completing all three modules, and will also be accepted automatically onto the Legal English / ILEC: advanced (C1) course. Classes are held once per week, for three hours on Monday evenings.
From January 2009, we are offering 48-hour Legal English courses at C1 level. Advanced level courses cover all areas of legal English as well as contracts and re-drafting, and are also suitable for people who want to prepare for the International Legal English Certificate (ILEC sessions: May and November, 2009). Read more about the ILEC exam here.
