International Strategic Partnerships in Research and Education between Higher Education Institutions in the UK and CSA Counties

INSPIRE – International Strategic Partnerships in Research and Education is a British Council funded project that aims to significantly strengthen the academic and research partnerships between the UK Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and a strategic selection of  countries in Central & South Asia, including: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.

What are the aims of Inspire?

The principal aim of INSPIRE is to support a transformational increase in the number and scope of Higher Education partnerships between the UK and universities in the Central & South Asia Region.

Applications are invited for grant funding from UK Higher Education Institutions and Central & South Asia Partner institutions for a range of activities.

The following country priority subject areas have been identified for Bangladesh:

3.Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering
4.Fine Arts, Theatre and Fashion
5.English Language Teaching Methodology

Funding opportunities for 2009-10 are available in the following areas of activity:
