Professional Skills

Time Management

This course helps the participants’ manage barriers to working efficiently and effectively. They discover a wide range of techniques for prioritizing tasks, dealing with time wasters and managing themselves and others. Participants participate in a series of exercises, discussions and hands-on activities that relate time management techniques to their daily lives.

Presentation Skills

This course provides the participants with a full understanding of how to prepare, organize and deliver presentations. It helps trainees to understand the key principles of presentations while demonstrating techniques for creating interest and communicating with the audience in a way that reflect the positive style and personality of the speaker. The course culminates in a case study presentation by the trainees from their workplace, which they present in front of their peers. This presentation is used as the basis of identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each trainee based on the key principles covered in the beginning of the course.

Report Writing Skills

This course gives the participants a thorough understanding of the fundamental skills needed for planning, structuring, writing and checking their reports. At the end of the course you will be able to write reports that are more clear, logical and convincing and project a more professional image through your reports. Participants will have an opportunity to work in groups- on discussions, exercises, case studies and interactive activities, putting the skills that they acquire into practice immediately.

Making Meetings Work

Do your meetings go over time? Then this course will help you to get them back on track. The course focuses on the responsibilities of all participants: preparation, planning and timing, it also highlights the special skills needed by a chairperson to lead the meeting to a satisfactory outcome for all. Through exercises, discussion and role-play, participants develop skills in managing and influencing meetings and also ensuring their points are heard and understood.

Interview skills

This course is intended to help participants to be more effective when recruiting and selecting candidates for employment. Trainees will see firsthand the stages of the recruitment and selection process and discover a list of what needs to be considered when arranging an interview. The art of effectively structuring an interview and how to detect body language in interviewing is also covered. Participants will also take part in an interview role-play and a problem solving question and answer session.

Project management Essentials

This course is aimed at managers who are new to project management and need an introduction to the concepts and terminologies of project management. You will get an exposure to the skills necessary to run a project from inception to closure and evaluation in a highly interactive, team-oriented environment. Through case studies, group discussion and team problem-solving activities this interactive program introduces tips and techniques to help build team-cohesion and overcome people-related obstacles encountered during project lifecycle.

Tailor-made courses

We tailor courses according to the clients’ specific needs. As part of the training needs analysis we conduct interviews with managers and trainees to understand organisational problems or changes. We then advise on appropriate training solutions designing extensive 32- or 48-hour combined language and skill development programmes.

Workshops Cost

The Skills through English workshops are taught in English and participants will need to have Intermediate or above level English.

The standard fees for the 6-hour workshops are BDT 4000.

The standard fees for the 12-hour workshops are BDT 8000.
