COURSES
BES Grammar & Writing (New!)
Business English Skills Grammar & Writing focuses on written business communication. It is for adult learners who already have a sophisticated knowledge of English and want to achieve a very high level of accuracy, going from intermediate to advanced.

BES Grammar & Writing is extremely thorough, and has received excellent feedback from companies and participants. It will enable you to use complex structures and confidently write long emails and reports.

Duration: 48 hours – this can also be taken as a series of four 12-hour workshops

 Business English
This course provides different tools and techniques to communicate more confidently in the business context. The emphasis is on improving the speaking, reading, listening and writing skills of the participants using various business situations. Writing (e-mails) is given separate treatment during the course. The course is divided into multiple levels. Exact content and length is based on the needs of individual participants as established in the placement test.

Duration: 32 hours, 2X2 hours each week
WORKSHOPS
Success with Presentations

This course provides the participants with a full understanding of how to prepare, organise and deliver presentations. It helps trainees to understand the key principles of presentations while demonstrating techniques for creating interest and communicating with the audience in a way that reflect the positive style and personality of the speaker. The course culminates in a case study presentation by the trainees from their workplace, which they present in front of their peers. This presentation is used as the basis of identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each trainee based on the key principles covered in the beginning of the course.

 Making Meetings Work
Do your meetings go over time? Then this course will help you to get them back on track. The course focuses on the responsibilities of all participants: preparation, planning and timing, it also highlights the special skills needed by a chairperson to lead the meeting to a satisfactory outcome for all. Through exercises, discussion and role-play, participants develop skills in managing and influencing meetings and also ensuring their points are heard and understood.

Business Writing Essentials
This course provides the participants with a basic understanding of the conventions of modern business writing enabling them to write all types of documents more effectively and professionally. Through discussions, case studies and hands-on activities and feedback from the trainer, they learn how to plan and edit a variety of documents. They get the opportunity to write several documents and receive feedback from their trainer and other participants on their strengths and improvement areas. Trainees discover new ways to make their writing more professional and reader friendly.

 Grammar for Business
This innovative workshop reviews the basics of English grammar with a focus on areas where Bangladeshi users of English often differ from Standard English. You will discover how to avoid grammatical errors and edit your writing to make it more accurate. For much of this course, you will be using games on the internet to practice your grammar.  You will also write a case study and receive feedback from your trainer on how you can personally improve your grammar. This will allow you to have a more clear understanding of the basics of English grammar and give you more confidence about the accuracy of your writing.

Better Emails & Letters
This informative workshop develops the writing skills you need to make your and your readers’ lives easier.  You will participate in games, quizzes and other learning. You will write both letters, emails, and receive feedback from your trainer and other course participants on how to improve. Trainees will discover how to adapt your emails and letters to different audiences and situations. You will also learn to write and edit your work to make it clear, concise and easy to understand. Trainees will be able to develop better working relationships through writing, know their own strengths and weaknesses, and have some specific strategies for how toimprove.
