Introduction The Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) is an internationally recognised examination from the University of Cambridge which assesses your knowledge of how to teach English at primary, secondary and adult level. We offer an after-school preparation course for this exam covering the knowledge needed for the test, including teaching methodology, lesson planning and classroom management.
Aim This course is aimed at both experienced teachers looking to increase their qualifications, and those thinking of becoming a teacher.
Entry Requirements Candidates are required to achieve at least an Intermediate (B1) level of English when attending a placement test at the British Council Teaching Centre.
Mode of Study This is a 28-hour preparation course, with 2 classes lasting 2 hours per week for 7 weeks, taking place in the evening after school finishes in order to ensure teachers can attend. You will also be expected to study outside class time.
Course Content TKT focuses on: •Different ways of teaching •The ‘language of teaching’ •How resources can be used •The key elements of lesson planning •Classroom management methods for different needs
Course Dates and fees The next courses run from Wednesday 30 May to Thursday 19 July 2012. The course involves 2 classes a week, of two hours each, for a total of 7 weeks / 28 hours.
You can register for the course from Sun 27 – Tues 29 May (09:30am - 4.30pm).
The course will cost you Taka 11900.
