IELTS

We run the IELTS exam once a month. To guarantee a place you should register at least six weeks before the exam date. Do not leave it too late as our places fill up quickly.

To register for IELTS, follow the steps below:

1. Download the Candidate Application Form
   
2. Download and read Information for Candidates
   
3. Check the IELTS test dates in Baku from the table above.
   
4. Send the completed documents by email to ielts@britishcouncil.az. Before sending the documents make sure you have included all of the following documents:
   
        - Completed and signed IELTS Application Form (don’t forget to include your home telephone number and mobile number);
        - Two (2) recent identical passport size photographs
        - A photocopy of the ID document you have specified in your application (national identity card or passport);
   
   
5. As soon as we receive your documentation we will send you a confirmation email of reservation and further instruction on how to make the payment and our bank details
   
6. Pay the test fee by bank transfer and send the bank transfer slip by email ielts@britishcouncil.az.
   
   NOTE: We only accept payments made by bank transfer.
   
   Please quote the name of the candidate and IELTS and exam date in the Details field on the deposit slip (e.g. N. Mammadov, IELTS, 26.06.08).

PLEASE NOTE:

• IELTS is not recommended for candidates under the age of 16.

REFUNDS

• If you cancel your registration at least 5 weeks before the test date, you will receive a refund of 85% of the test fee.
• If you cancel your registration within 5 weeks or less of the test date, there will be no refund, unless you provide appropriate evidence to support the cancellation. In this case you need to submit the Request for Refund Form (available below) and attach the appropriate evidence. Acceptable documents include a medical certificate from a qualified medical practitioner, a death notice or certificate, or a police report or verification from the army. All the above must be submitted to the test centre within 5 days of the test date.

TEST DATE TRANSFERS

You may transfer to a different test date only if you notify us at least 5 weeks prior to the test session you have registered for by submitting the Request for Test Transfer Form (available below). The completed form should be returned to the IELTS Administrator along with the receipt for the Test Fee.
