We run the IELTS exam twice a month. Registration deadline is 6 weeks prior to the test date.
Candidates can contact exams team to check a possibility for late registration. Please be informed that late registration fee is 170 AZN.

- Select the date, town/city (Landmark) and module. Then press button 'Find'
- Select the test date and press button 'Apply'.
- Please read IELTS terms & conditions. Click to 'I have read and agree to the above Terms and Conditions'. Then press button 'Continue'.
- You must fill all sections. Then press button 'Continue'.
- Please check if all details are correct then familiarize yourself with payment terms and bank details then press button 'Apply now'.
- Print the Application Summary by clicking on 'Print this page'.
- You will receive an automatic email about your registration.
- Please sign and send the scanned copy of printed summary sheet along with the copy of passport or National Identity Card (Azerbaijani citizens only), photo and bank slip to ielts@britishcouncil.az . Photos with glasses are not accepted. Please ensure that email size does not exceed 2 MB
- Please ensure the payment is made within 5 days, you will then receive an automatic email about your registration.
- If you do not proceed with payment within 5 days, you will receive an automatic email about the cancellation of your registration.
- Please be informed that registration deadline is 6 weeks prior to exam date. If you wish to register after the deadline please contact the office.
We only accept payments made by bank transfer. Please quote the name of the candidate and IELTS and exam date in the Details field on the deposit slip (e.g. N. Mammadov, IELTS, 26.06.11).
For late registration:
- Please write email to ielts@britishcouncil.az in order to get an information regarding available seats
- After receiving of confirmation, please, download and fill out by hand Late registration form'.
- Please sign and send the scanned copy of Late registration form with the copy of passport or National Identity Card (Azerbaijani citizens only) and photo to ielts@britishcouncil.az . Photos with glasses are not accepted. Please ensure that email size does not exceed 2 MB
- You will receive reply email with our bank details
- Please ensure the payment is made and scanned bank slip sent to ielts@britishcouncil.az within 3 days, you will then receive an email about your registration.
- If you do not proceed with payment within 3 days, you will receive an email about the cancellation of your registration.
- Generally IELTS is not recommended for candidates under the age of 16; however it can be organized upon request. Please contact our office for more details.
- You will not be allowed to bring anything to the exam room apart from your ID or passport. You will be provided with neccessary stationary during the exam.
- Please note that your speaking interview might be conducted a week prior to test date or a week after the test date. You are required to arrange your time and bring the ID or passport to the interview. You will not be allowed to the interview without ID or passport. Please note that interview time can not be changed. Overseas candidates will be interviewed on the test day.
- If you cancel your registration at least 5 weeks before the test date, you will receive a refund of 85% of the test fee.
- If you cancel your registration within 5 weeks or less of the test date, there will be no refund, unless you provide appropriate evidence to support the cancellation. In this case you need to submit the Request for Refund Form (available below) and attach the appropriate evidence. Acceptable documents include a medical certificate from a qualified medical practitioner, a death notice or certificate, or a police report or verification from the army. All the above must be submitted to the test centre within 5 days of the test date.
You may transfer to a different test date only if you notify us at least 5 weeks prior to the test session you have registered for by submitting the Request for Test Transfer Form (available below). The completed form should be returned to the IELTS Administrator along with the receipt for the Test Fee.
If one candidate transfers the test date more than once he/she will be charged 20 AZN transfer fee.
Test report forms are available for candidates on the 13th day after the test.
You will receive only one copy of your test report form (TRF).
You are also able to see your test results on our web site 13 days after the test date. You can view your results by using your candidate number, date of birth and Id number.
We cannot give details of results over the telephone, fax or e-mail.

How to order Test Report Forms?
In order to send your Test Report Form to the institutions in Azerbaijan, you need to transfer 15 AZN per copy
If you would like to have your Test Report Form sent to abroad, you need to transfer one of the following courier fees to the British Council bank account which can be requested by sending email to ielts@britishcouncil.az
Europe: 45 AZN
Middle East/America: 55 AZN (Iran, USA, Canada)
South Hemisphere: 65 AZN (Australia, New Zealand)
Then fill out the additional TRF form and send an email to ielts@britishcouncil.az with your full name, date of exam and payment
Please note that if you send your email without making the payment, your request will not be valid
Your Test Report Form orders will be issued and delivered to the courier company in 2 working days
Institutions can also view candidates score through the online IELTS verification service, provided that they have the candidate's Test Report Form (TRF) number
If you are dissatisfied with your results, you may apply for an Enquiry on Results. This must be done within 6 weeks of the test date. You can choose which modules are remarked. EOR form should be completed, scanned and sent to ielts@britishcouncil.az and the original TRF should be returned to the office. There is a fee for this service 110 AZN which will be refunded should the score on any module change. Enquiry on Results can take up to 8 weeks to complete.
