Now when I look back it seems that it has been ages since I returned from the United Kingdom, but it was only five years ago. The experience I gained as a Chevening Scholar is immeasurable and immense; it helped me to get a new direction in life and become a different person.

In fact I could divide my life into two sections: pre-Chevening and post-Chevening. The way my life has changed since I received a Chevening Scholarship is something that doesn't happen to very many people in my country, but it's inspiring and goes to show that if you truly believe in what you want out of life and never settle for less, you just might get it.

The combination of studying at the University of Reading and living in student accommodation gave me plenty opportunities to meet people from all over the world and be exposed to the enormous variety that life offered.

Studying in the UK opened a lot of professional opportunities for me. I am really thankful to the British Council and the FCO for giving me the chance not only to study and explore the world through the UK, but also for changing my life and helping me reach my goals.
