British Council in Azerbaijan
The British Council is an integral and important part of the UK’s bilateral relationship with Azerbaijan. It was established in Azerbaijan in 1993 to provide training services to the Azerbaijan public in the English language, business administration and management.
The British Council’s centre in Baku now offers a wide variety of services to the people of Azerbaijan to assist in the development of education, the English language, the arts and social development.
We work in partnership with government, academic and non-governmental organisations in Azerbaijan, and with UK and European counterparts, to provide opportunity to people throughout Azerbaijan. Our focus is on support to the development agenda and the successor generation of young educated people.
