HOW WILL THIS BE ACHIEVED?

Project outputs include high profile international conferences, thematic publications, blogs, a bimonthly newsletter and a series of cross-community cultural relations activities.

The strength of the project has been recognized by the European Union which has awarded OPENCities a grant through the URBACT programme for cities. This strand of the project is led by Belfast City Council. Local strategies for internationalisation and leadership will be identified based on the project diagnostic tool and research undertaken.

In order to achieve impact in cities the ambition of OPENCities is to commission long-lasting quality research in agreed thematic areas and ensure sustainable dissemination and international engagement.
