Seminar aims:

  • to profile language learners at B2 level
  • to identify language skills required for Cambridge English: First
  • to suggest motivating ideas to help develop these skills in exam preparation classes

Trainer:

Deborah Starkey has taught ESOL to adults for more than twenty years, including courses at the FH Burgenland, the Oesterreichische Nationalbank and the Vienna Insurance Group. She is a Cambridge ESOL Speaking Examiner and Team Leader as well as being Cambridge ESOL's Senior Presenter for Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Scandinavia. She is a member of the Board of TEA (Teachers of English in Austria).

Registration:

  • Please confirm your attendance by email (exams@britishcouncil.at) by Friday 14 September.
  • There is no charge for the seminar for Addvantage Members and institutions that have registered exams candidates in the last 12 months.
  • Other participants are very welcome. Please pay €10 into the British Council bank account and bring please the payment advice with you.

For non-Addvantage members and those who have not registered candidates in the last 12 months only.
