The test results are sent out 13 days after the test date by post. Please note that only one personal copy of the Test Report Form can be sent to each candidate. We are not able to release the results earlier and we are not allowed to give you any information regarding your results, neither on the phone nor in person, by e-mail or fax.

IELTS Test Report Forms are valid for two years. Your Test Report Form is a valuable document and you should keep it safe and secure because it cannot be replaced.

Online Results
IELTS candidates can view their results online from 6pm on the 13th day after their exam date. This service is available to all candidates. To access your results please go to the IELTS Online Results webpage and follow the instructions: http://ielts-results.britishcouncil.org/

Sending Test Report Forms to institutions
Copies of your Test Report Form can be sent directly to institutions on your behalf within the two years of their validity.

You can ask for your results to be forwarded by writing us an e-mail with the following information to exams@britishcouncil.at: Your Name, your IELTS Test Date, Your Candidate Number and the institution's postal address. In your own interest, we would ask you to make sure the address is complete and detailed (including, if given, a contact person's name, a file number etc).

We despatch up to five copies free of charge.

Re-evaluation of Results
If you are not satisfied with your results, you have the option of applying for a re-evaluation of your test. This process is called Enquiry on Results. This service costs 75 EUR. Should your score improve as a result of this re-evaluation, this amount will be refunded to you.

To make use of this service please download the Enquiry on Results Form. Please complete the form and return it to us along with your original Test Report Form and proof that you have paid the fee within 6 weeks of your test day.
