Dates and Registration

Registering for an IELTS Test in Austria has never been easier! Our new Online Registration System gives you an overview of test dates and real time availability (i.e. number of free seats).

3 steps to your IELTS application:

1.Go to the Online Registration System, choose your test date and venue and enter your personal details.
2. Transfer the test fee: In order to confirm your registration we need to receive your payment (EUR 190.-) and documentation no later than 5 working days after registering for the test. Please note that you can make the payment by bank transfer; unfortunately we cannot accept credit card payments. Please use the following reference on your payment: IELTS, Name, date of exam (e.g.: IELTS, Hans Gerber, 25/08/11).
3. Print out the confirmation email, sign it and send it to the British Council, Siebensterngasse 21, 1070 Wien, within 5 working days. Please make sure you include the documents listed below.

Necessary documents to be sent together with your printout:

2 Passport size colour photos (not older than 6 months). From 1 January 2010 candidates must not wear glasses on the photographs.
A copy of your passport or National ID card, whichever you indicated on your application
A copy of your proof of payment of the test fee (online banking print out or payment slip). Please do NOT send cash.

You will receive the final email of confirmation when we have received your documentation by post.

If you are not able to register online, please email us in order to receive an application form by email.

Important notice:
Please note we only have a limited number of places available. Places are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. We cannot accept applications after the closing date. Test dates will not be visible in the system after the deadline for registration (always 2 weeks before the test day). Once your application has been submitted, you cannot go back to change your details.

Please note that the oral part of the test may take place on another day.
