The British Council offers a number of professional development awards to outstanding Australians working across the arts, creative industries, science and climate change:

Realise Your Dream: An award for Australians (aged 30 and under) working or studying in the arts and creative industries. Recipients receive a return flight to the UK, $8000 and a professional development programme with industry leaders.

Eureka Prize: The British Council Eureka Prize for Young Leaders in Environmental Issues and Climate Change is sponsored by the British Council Australia. The prize is awarded to a young Australian aged 21-30 for scientific or technological leadership in responding to the challenges that threaten our environment and our climate.

British Council Researcher Exchange Programme (RXP): The Researcher Exchange Programme (RXP) is a £250,000 initiative that provides individual researchers with awards covering travel and subsistence costs, and some consumables costs, needed to develop new scientific collaborations and contacts through exchange visits of between one week and three months’ duration.

Developing Climate Solutions: Emerging Leaders Award: Awards of $20,000 each for eco-visionary Australians who will make a real difference in climate change. The winners of these awards will attend project management training in Indonesia to further develop their concepts and their international networks in East Asia.
