For Australians to study in the United Kingdom in 2009

Commonwealth Scholarships for students from the developed Commonwealth to study in the United Kingdom in 2009 are now available, following a recent decision by the UK Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS).  The Awards will be co-funded by selected UK universities.

Awards are for full time doctoral studies only.

Applicants may only study at UK universities that are in the Commonwealth’s list at http://www.cscuk.org.uk/ . This is updated regularly.

It is expected that up to 16 Awards will be made for study in 2009 from applicants in Australia, the Bahamas, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Cyprus, Malta, New Zealand and Singapore.

The deadline for individual applicants is 28 November 2008 and from Universities the deadline is 1st December 2008.
