Visas
UK visitors require a tourist visa which is obtained on arrival in Turkey, at the airport, immediately before going through passport control.  Tourist visas cost £10 per person and are valid for three months' multiple entry. It is important to have a £10 note as other denominations and travellers cheques may cause difficulties.

Work Permits
If you are coming to do commercial work in Turkey, you will need a work permit. This should be applied for by your employer/promoter in Turkey if you are intending to stay for less than one month. Alternatively, if you are going without a contact in Turkey you can apply to the Turkish Consulate in your own country.

Insurance
It is highly recommended that artists visiting Turkey buy travel and health insurance in advance.

Freight and Carnets
For the freight and temporary importation of goods / equipment / instruments into Turkey whether by road, by air or by sea, it is necessary to obtain an ATA Carnet. Travellers can bring small quantities of goods / equipments / instruments into the country as excess baggage, paying the required fee if necessary.
