Permits
EU-Citizens need only a valid passport when entering the country and can stay in Sweden for a period of three months without any permits. For longer stays a residency permit is required but a work permit is not necessary. Residency permits can be obtained from the Swedish Embassy before departure.
Tax
After receiving a residence permit you need to be entered into the Swedish population register with the Swedish tax authorities,. Non-resident individuals and companies are required to pay tax on any income earned in Sweden. The withholding tax rate is 15%. Royalties are exempt.
