Visas
As a visiting artist, you will need to get an Artist Visa. It takes two weeks to obtain and costs US$50. In order to obtain it artists will need:

  • to request it in person
  • a valid passport
  • a completed form
  • an original contract and letter of introduction from their Peruvian promotor

Paperwork should start 45 days prior departure.

Carnet (Pase intersindical)
This carnet is done by the promoter and is local. It should be done one week before arrival.

Freight
It has proved to be too expensive to bring equipment into Peru, so our advice is to rent equipment locally. If artists would prefer to bring their equipment, they should arrange that directly with their promoter/host institution as paperwork sometimes takes over four weeks.

Insurance
It is advisable to get a comprehensive medical insurance which includes a repatriation clause. This will usually be mentioned in the contract with your promoters/hosts.
