British Council Lebanon

Visas
Visas are required. These can be obtained from Lebanese Consulates before departure. If required, the Council office in Beirut can issue a letter of invitation in support of a visa application. If you hold a UK passport you can obtain a visa without difficulty on arrival at the airport (except that visas can in no case be issued if the passport bears evidence of any visit to Israel). The cost, payable in cash, is US$17 (LBP 25,000) for up to 48 hours or US $34 (LBP 50,000) for up to two weeks. Visitors passports should not have any Israeli stamp on them.
