Visas/Work Permits
British passport holders are admitted without a visa and given a sixty or ninety day tourist visa on arrival. Holders of other passports should check requirements with the Colombian Consulate before travelling. Visas for longer periods, work permits and diplomatic or service visas (where appropriate) should be obtained from the Colombian Consulate before travelling.
Tax
There is an airport exit tax of US$28 (in cash dollars or pesos), (US$47 for stays of over sixty days). You will need a stamped form from the airport or entry stamp in your passport to confirm you have been there less than sixty days. Travellers changing planes in Colombia and leaving the same day are exempt.
Income tax clearance is not required by visitors who remain in the country for sixty days or less. |
