The British High Commission information and travel advices are available on the British Council Bangladesh website. Please see this site for more information.

Visas
All artists need a visa for Bangladesh, which must be obtained from the Bangladesh High Commission in the UK. Visitors will need to pay a visa fee and travel tax. The cost of visa depends on the type of visa: tourist, single-entry or multiple-entry. A multiple-entry visa currently costs from 3750-7125 Taka (subject to exchange rates).

Freight
To import any consignment for exhibition / events / films needs a prior import permit and to re-export (to send those back again) also needs a permit. Shipping and freight has an international rate that is same world-wide and it depends on the weight, volume as well as distance. This is available from any airline company.

Tax
If the artist is invited by the British Council there will be no tax, but the artist must have to get a tax exemption certificate from the National Board of Revenue or Customs, that will be arranged by British Council. Otherwise tax regulations should be made with the Bangladeshi High Commission.
