COMPANY POLICY
To use the arts as a powerful tool for social change and community regeneration. To work with community groups and individuals so that the community itself controls the artistic vision and has the expertise , infrastructure and finances to realise their own project for themselves.

Fablevision advises organisations and individuals on the development of arts and cultural projects and provides training and develops and manages events.

Case Studies

Royston Road Project
A four-year project to refurbish a church spire and a waterfall in a deprived part of Glasgow, culminating in the creation of two park areas created by the community.

A total of £1.7 million was raised and 22 jobs were created during the four-year project.

An interactive website, www.roystonrodproject.org, features art work, video performances and a history of the area and the project.
Partners: Glasgow City Council, Wise Group, Glasgow Building Preservation Trust and Molendinar Community Council.

Theatre in Education (UK, 1994-ongoing)
A three-part theatre in education programme on the theme of drug and substance use and abuse, linked to the education curriculum and covering a 10-year age span.

The audience is encouraged to recognise personal and social pressures, take responsibility for their own actions and learn to make informed choices about the issues affecting own lives.

Partners: Glasgow City Council, Wise Group, Glasgow Building Preservation Trust and Molendinar Community Council.

Theatre Insaan (UK, 2003-ongoing)
Fablevision acted as consultant on the setting up and strategic development of Scotland's first intercultural theatre company.

Creative Communities
A development resource for arts-led regeneration. Regeneration of Maryhill Burgh Halls and Anchor Mills, Scotland as community centres for local artists and performers.
