ARTISTIC POLICY Wildworks is truly international and the understanding of different languages and cultures is reflected in the work. The company weaves mythic strands out of the sites for which it creates work and from the memories and values of the people who live there. It opens the creative process for people to become actively involved in a number of different ways, including performance. Wildworks uses everything it can to create its work: sun and moonlight, fire, live and recorded music, powerful visual imagery, machinery, poetry, movement, food and emotion. The core team includes theatre makers from France, Sweden, Malta, Spain and the UK.
REVIEW EXTRACTS 'Extraordinarily moving.' The Guardian

FUTURE PRODUCTION New work (title tbc) Bill Mitchell is working on a new site-generic project that will contact people with memories of dockyards, the story of ships, ship builders and others connected to the docks.
WRAP-AROUND ACTIVITY Wildworks has collaborated with gospel choirs, college bands, local artists, tea dance regulars, cake-makers, abseillers and trail bikers. It brings half the event and trusts the community to supply the other half.
