CURRENT PRODUCTIONS The Paper Nautilus A sumptuously staged cantata exploring the deep sea and the wonders of bioluminescence. Composed by Gavin Bryars with text by Jackie Kay and Etel Adnan. (70 mins no interval, 10 on stage, 8 on the road plus 8 local professional musicians)
Apocalypse… the seven angels Multimedia performance. Performed by the principal trumpet of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra with live interactive visuals. (45 mins no interval, 1 on stage, 6 on the road plus 6 local professional trumpet players)
Each…and Every Inch Intimate site-specific performance utilising the full venue to reveal the life, works and secrets of Canadian author Elizabeth Smart with live cello duet and video (Promenade work with installations, average journey time 80–120 mins, 3 on stage, 10 on the road)
Optical Identity Co production with the T’ang Quartet (Singapore) commissioned and presented by the Singapore Arts Festival. Combining established repertoire and music commissions with interactive technologies which respond to the Quartet’s playing and movement.
FUTURE PRODUCTIONS An Ocean of Rain has Fallen Behind my Eyes Premiere of commissioned text by French Canadian writer Daniel Danis with commissioned score by Yannis Kyriakides. A co production with the Marten Altena Ensemble (Netherlands).
WRAP-AROUND ACTIVITY Associated talks can be arranged for all of the performances plus workshops focusing on vocal work and on the movement of the musician.
