ARTISTIC POLICY
The Young Vic is a theatre for everyone. It presents great plays – classic and new work – in innovative productions by the world’s great directors and by a new generation of dynamic theatre artists. At its heart is the desire to build a lively and diverse audience and to nurture talent. While the Young Vic Theatre was redeveloped, the company produced plays in different venues, both nationally and internationally. The new theatre re-opened in October 2006 with a community opera, Tobias and the Angel.

REVIEW EXTRACTS

'This is life-enhancing stuff. The Young Vic has got itself off to a terrific start.' The Times (Tobias and the Angel)

'Remarkable. Nothing could have better embodied the theatrical and community values this theatre stands for.' Mail on Sunday (Tobias and the Angel)
