ARTISTIC POLICY The company’s principal objectives laid down in the Royal Charter are to conserve, advance and disseminate the dramatic heritage of Shakespeare and to advance and improve the dramatic art throughout the world. The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) produces and presents dramatic performances of all kinds, including productions of plays by Shakespeare and by other classic playwrights and of new plays, which are presented in the company’s theatres in Stratford-upon-Avon and on tour throughout the UK and the rest of the world. Alongside the performances are educational activities for schools, colleges and communities.
