ARTISTIC POLICY
Robert Hylton’s left of centre approach to hip hop, theatre, film and contemporary dance, creates work that is fresh, original and full of multi-cultural attitude. Urban Classicism draws influence from global languages of creativity, engaging new creative experiences to challenge the physical and musical boundaries of contemporary dance and hip hop in film, theatre and education.

Verse&Verses Robert Hylton and DJ Billy Biznizz join forces with guest choreographer Pervez (Live to Break) and a fresh new line up for this visually arresting production. Visuals by All of Us. (60 mins, 6 on stage, 9-10 on the road)

Landscapes A multi-media work with live music by DJ Billy Biznizz and visuals by All of Us. (23 mins, 3 on stage plus DJ, 6 on the road)

Verse DJ/Producer Billy Biznizz sets the pace, creating and mixing a live compositional soundtrack. (18 mins, 1 on stage plus DJ, 4 on the road)

FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
Swan Breaks A contemporary version of the classical ballet Swan Lake, told through and interpreted by hip hop performers and musicians, fused with contemporary dance. (75 mins, full company work)

WRAP-AROUND ACTIVITY
Practical sessions, choreographic commissions, video and lecture programmes. Educational workshops designed for schools, colleges, community projects and professional dance practitioners.
