ARTISTIC POLICY
To freely cross from dance to drama and be unbound from the traditions of individual forms. Nigel Charnock’s work includes elements of many artforms, synthesising text with movement, dance, music and more recently film. The aim is to experiment with form and content whilst also producing work that is entertaining and accessible to a range of audiences. Productions are characterised by Charnock’s unique blend of morbid irony, furious entertainment and black comedy.

REVIEW EXTRACTS
'Feverishly talented… a core of discipline, a liberating energy.' The Times (Frank)

'Charnock skilfully mixes a wildly effervescent dance-cocktail sparkling with intelligence.' Aamulehti, Finland (Intelligence of the Heart)

'So unusual, so witty – one does not stop being amazed.' Frankurter Neue Presse (Frank)

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Frank Solo devised and performed by Charnock. A fiercely comic blend of improvised monologue, song and dance. Unashamedly honest, daringly physical and very entertaining. (60–70 mins, 1 on stage, 3 on the road)

Fever Collaboration between saxophonist Michael Reissler, Nigel Charnock and a string quartet. A moving, comical and incisive interpretation of Shakespeare’s Love Sonnets. (60–70 mins, 6 on stage, 7 on the road)

FUTURE PRODUCTION
Stupid Men Improvisation and performance project for four men directed by Nigel Charnock which will be touring in 2007. Each performance will be a unique experience for the performers and the audience, a completely free improvisation, and an act of total theatre.

WRAP-AROUND ACTIVITY
