CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
House of the Gods By Lynne Plowman and Martin Riley following the success of Gwyneth and the Green Knight. Using ancient Celtic mythology as its primary source, the opera is a dark, disturbing and sexually charged piece with overtones of Victorian melodrama. Premiered in Wales spring 2006, touring summer/autumn 2006. (105 mins, one interval, 5 singers, 11 musicians, 23 on the road)

Punch and Judy Chamber opera by Harrison Birtwistle in a classic Music Theatre Wales production. (105 mins, no interval, 15 musicians, 27 on the road)

FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
Julie By Philippe Boesmans. In his most recent chamber opera based on the stage play by Strindberg, Philippe Boesmans presents one of the classic dramas of the modern age in a new musical light. Boesmans’ opera explores the inner world of this situation with poignant effect. The beautiful, highly detailed and colourful orchestration delves into the characters’ hearts and minds and brings their hidden passions and transgressions to the surface.
