ARTISTIC POLICY
Motionhouse pursue the creation of remarkable dance theatre, fusing images, action and dynamism to surprise, challenge and delight. Under the strong direction of Kevin Finnan and Louise Richards, Motionhouse create and deliver an extraordinary range of dance performance acclaimed for striking use of imagery, theatricality and immediate impact.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Driven Motionhouse explodes on stage in a head-on collision with reality. Fusing live action and film and integrating highly physical dance, breathtaking flying and striking theatrical imagery. Five performers race in the fast lane, dodging the flying debris, as their lives literally fall apart around them. Driven presents life as a series of significant moments, seductive decisions to be made and their physical consequences. Think before it’s too late, slam on the brakes and feel the rush of what it is to be alive. (70 mins approx., no interval, 5 on stage, 10–12 on the road)

WRAP-AROUND ACTIVITY
In addition to extensive touring throughout the UK and beyond, we are constantly experimenting with the performance environment and creating dance in unusual contexts - for parks, beaches, shopping centres and stately homes alongside more traditional venues. From full length touring works to short ‘satellite’ performances, to large scale dance events, Motionhouse dancers perform alongside aerialists, cranes, JCB diggers and singers, on stunning sets, in breathtaking places and in the public eye. A wide ranging participatory programme complements and enhances the performance work.
