ARTISTIC POLICY Since 1984, Michael Clark has been creating dance works that reflect his classical training and contemporary taste. He seeks to expose dance to its least suspecting audience, stretching the boundaries of the art form both physically and socially. His underlying approach is cacophonous, exploiting confusion with visual contamination and disruption. In 2005 Michael Clark began work on the Stravinsky Project, a three-year collaboration with the Barbican, London, to produce a trilogy of works to seminal dance scores by Igor Stravinsky.
REVIEW EXTRACTS 'Bad and beautiful; that’s Clark all over.' The Times (O)
