CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Miss Julie By August Strindberg, directed by Patricia Benecke. Sex and death: the stakes are as high as they come as Miss Julie teases her proud and sexy servant, Jean. An intense, compelling drama boiling with the emotions of a fiery struggle of class and sex. (90 mins, 9–12 on the road)
Our Country’s Good By Timberlake Wertenbaker, directed by Sue Lefton. A haunting drama and winner of the 1998 Laurence Olivier Play of the Year, this telling of unlikely friendship, power and the struggle to survive is a superb vehicle for the Mercury Theatre Company actors. (Dration tbc, 9–12 on the road)
WRAP-AROUND ACTIVITY Schools workshops are run alongside productions. A ‘talk back’ question-and-answer session follows selected performances and a ‘front row’ informal session with the director and creative team takes place in the weeks leading up to opening night.
