ARTISTIC POLICY
Evoked by magic illusion and burlesque, Marisa Carnesky has been making inter-disciplinary performance work for over a decade. Her work explores notions of cultural identity, sexuality and war. Inspired by her own Eastern European heritage and an interest in live performance in the fairground, Carnesky's Ghost Train is the largest work by the company. Marisa Carnesky also tours her three current solo works and a number of shorter cabaret style pieces.

Carnesky's Ghost Train Set in a real ghost train ride, the show blazes with the thrill of the fairground and the excitement of live performance. Includes moving audience carriages and live elements of aerial flying, moving sets, dance and mime. The Girl From Nowhere A multi-media theatre event which explores women's journeys from Eastern Europe to the West, told through filmed testimony, spectacular magic illusions, text, soundtrack and music. (60 mins, 2 on the road, contains nudity)

Jewess Tattooess A multimedia (performance, video, film, instillation) live art/theatre piece that explores the Jewish taboo of tattooing, looking at the cultural and religious implications of a Jewish woman who, by choice, is heavily tattooed. (60 mins, 2 on the road, contains nudity)
