REVIEW EXTRACTS 'Men in the Wall is successful on every front… It enormously expands video's horizon.' Toronto Star (Men in the Wall)
'Situated against various backdrops, each male… talks, sings, plays music and moves in a fashion stamped with the Aggiss/Cowie signature of quirky-humoured poetry and askew beauty.' Dance Europe (Men in the Wall)
'Splendid performance lecture in which [Aggiss] with incisiveness and humour, outlined the essence of her craft.' Ballettanz (Anarchic Dance)
CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Men in the Wall This award-winning, four-screen, three dimensional, stereoscopic installation redefines dance screen practice with four men whose shared framed lives reveal a public quartet of private differences. (Screen dance installation, 25 mins looped, 3 on the road)
Hi Jinx This witty and absurd performance lecture fuses live performance, reconstruction of early performance from the 1920s dance commandments and features a back catalogue of early screen dance by the choreographer/performer Heidi Dzinkowska. (Live performance lecture 45 mins, 2 on the road)
Doppelgänger This four screen, award-winning installation animates, in microscopic detail, the extra-ordinariness of the ordinary. Distilling 16,000 still frames embedded in hyper-sound, these are absurd and kinaesthetic gems. (15 mins looped, screen dance installation, 3 on the road)
Anarchic Dance 45-minute lecture-screening using examples of live documentation and screen work from Aggiss and Cowie’s new book/dvd-rom ‘Anarchic Dance’ (pub Routledge 2006)
